President Maduro has
presented a video with an
audio he claims is evidence of a coup attempt against him. “It is necessary
that we all watch this video so we can build the necessary antibodies to repel
these fascist attacks.”
According to the Agencia
Venezolana de Noticias the audio was recorded via Skype on January 7 in New
York.
The video shows the
picture of Carlos Osuna Saraco, a Venezuelan lawyer, and carries the voice of a
person, presumably Osuna Saraco, reading a coup manifesto deposing Maduro and
his government.
Telesur, in
a report published online, claims that Osuna Saraco is a friend of
opposition leader Antonio Ledezma.
“We are still today dismantling
the coup. I have to warn our people and the world: Nobody should be
overconfident! There is too much held back hatred among the minorities!” said
maduro.
